More than movement. More than breath.
Feels like healing, because it is.
Healing Roots Yoga Therapy offers a deeply personalized, intuitive, and whole-person approach to healing—far beyond the experience of a typical yoga class. Our one-on-one sessions are tailored uniquely to your body, mind, and life story, drawing on movement, breath, meditation, and restorative inquiry to support real transformation.

Why Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy is a holistic, integrative practice, combining yoga postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), meditation, hands-on treatments, introspection & relaxation techniques, and ayurvedic lifestyle support—all guided by a trained yoga therapist to address your specific health needs.
Because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Yoga therapy offers something that many modalities can’t: space to slow down, listen inward, and be met exactly where you are. It’s not about fixing what’s “wrong”—it’s about gently uncovering what’s already whole.
In a world that often rushes us past our pain, yoga therapy invites us to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the wisdom of the body. It draws from ancient practices—but adapts them intuitively and intentionally for your unique needs, whether you're navigating physical pain, emotional overwhelm, burnout, hormonal shifts, or simply a sense of disconnection.
This work is gentle but powerful. It’s guided by presence and grounded in both modern understanding and timeless tools. Through movement, breath, touch, stillness, and inquiry, yoga therapy becomes a path back to the self—a self that knows how to heal, how to feel, and how to begin again.
It’s about your unique sense of balance.
Yoga therapy supports a wide range of health concerns by addressing the root causes of imbalance in body, mind, and breath. Common issues include chronic pain (such as back, neck, or joint pain), stress-related conditions, anxiety and depression, fatigue, insomnia, and digestive issues.
It’s also highly effective for supporting menstrual and hormonal imbalances, peri/menopause, autoimmune conditions, recovery from illness or injury, and nervous system dysregulation such as trauma, overwhelm, or burnout.
Every session is adapted to your individual needs and can gently support healing on both a physical and emotional level.
At Healing Roots Yoga Therapy, every offering is rooted in the wisdom of the five koshas—the layers of our being—addressing not just the physical body, but also the breath, mind, insight, and spirit. Through this lens, healing becomes a multidimensional process, where bodywork, breathwork, movement, and self-inquiry each serve a unique role.
Our approach is also guided by the eight limbs of yoga, integrating postures (asana), breath regulation (pranayama), focused attention (dharana), self-discipline (niyama), and meditation (dhyana) to support lasting transformation from the inside out. The result is a deeply personalized path to wellness that honors the whole self—body, mind, and soul.
